These terms are the agreement between you and Guidr Labs (ABN 23 580 035 750) when you use the app or this site. By requesting an invite or using guidr, you accept them.
guidr introduces mentors and learners to each other. We are an introduction platform, not an employer, agency, school, or professional adviser. What you and your match agree to do together is between the two of you.
You must be 18 or over, able to enter a contract, and not previously removed from guidr. During the private beta, access is by invitation and we may accept or decline any application at our discretion.
Use your real identity, keep your details accurate, and don't share your account or invite code. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Be decent. Don't harass, threaten, discriminate against, or mislead anyone. Don't use guidr to recruit, sell, spam, solicit money, or promote your business. Don't post unlawful, hateful, or explicit content, and don't share someone else's private information. Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, usually without warning where safety is involved.
We don't run background checks and we don't verify anyone's claims about their experience or qualifications. Use your judgement: meet in public first, tell someone where you're going, and report anything that feels wrong. Anything you do offline with a match is at your own risk.
Mentors share personal experience. Nothing on guidr is medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice, and no mentor–learner relationship on guidr creates a professional duty of care.
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give us a licence to host, display, and share it as needed to run guidr. You confirm you have the right to post it.
The guidr name, logo, app, and design belong to us. You may use the service, not copy it.
guidr is in private beta and provided as-is. Features will change or disappear, data may be reset, and downtime is likely. Please don't rely on it as your only record of anything.
The private beta is free. If we introduce paid features later, we'll tell you before anything is charged.
Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Apart from those, and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for what other users say or do, or for outcomes of a mentorship, and our liability is limited to resupplying the service. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we close the beta. Sections that should survive — content licence, liability, governing law — do.
The private beta is open in Australia, the United States and Singapore. You're responsible for complying with your own local laws when you use guidr, and some features may differ or be unavailable in your country.
United States: nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of your state. If a dispute arises, you and we agree to try to resolve it informally by email for 30 days before starting proceedings.
Singapore: nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 or the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state. If you're a consumer in the United States, Singapore, or anywhere else, you keep the mandatory protections of your local law.
